I never saw a purple sunset before this day. Growing up ten minutes from the beach, I was used
to the kind that made the world look like it was on fire. It was eerie to see serene purples and peaches,
especially since I was outside the wire. I remember sitting up on one of the roofs with 4-4's brigade
photographer just shooting the shit and entertaining the kids outside of the compound with goofy faces
and extravagant gesticulations. Who'd have thought you could find peace in a war zone?
