Why do I love her? I don't. She sneaks up to my face to suffocate me at night, licks inside my ear to wake me up, lays on my keyboard when she feels she isn't getting enough attention, uses my face as a spring-board to attack any bugs on the window, sits in my lap so she can 'quality control' my food while I'm eating, and ninja-jumps at me from under the dining room table. Oh, can't forget the fact that she likes to monitor my bathroom habits and enjoys licking my feet dry when I get out of the shower. =/
But she also plays with my son and curls up beside him at night, sometimes with a foreleg over him like a cuddlebuddy and tolerates being hugged and loved on when I've had a bad day. Loki also loves to play with my son, especially when he pushes balls around. I guess she's alright.

Before I even start, Loki is an amazing name, especially for a black cat. It captures her personality well. (That, and I just really like that villain in the Avengers/ Thor.)
I know you couldn't control your cat's color, but there are a lot of themes with black cats with green eyes with a more orange background, especially when associated with evil. However, your cat's "I like attention, let me pose for you" attitude is very charming and pretty unique. She almost looks too cute for words. I love how you focused this, and how most of her isn't in the direct center of the photo. The water-mark is visible and clear but not distracting. This is very well done.
Your cat is adorable! I have a black kitten-like cat too :3
So firstly, I'm aware that to get a good quality photo of a cat it has to be a photogenic cat, and it has to be positioned just right. Now, although this is technically down to the cat, I want to congratulate you for it. The cat's position is one of the main reasons this photo is so excellent. You have captured it looking at the camera and in a brilliant freeze frame! Welldone - that is a very hard thing to do with a living creature, and is one of the reasons it makes photographing them so challenging!
Another thing that adds to the brilliant quality of this photo, aside from the type of camera, is the OUTSTANDING focus. You have angled it perfectly, and I think it's stupidly good. The eyes are clear and bright, and really bring a point to the image, yet nothing else looks out of focus in the face..
This brings me on to my one negative comment. I think the paws and other parts around the outside could be little less blurry. This would mirror the minimal and, in my opinion, just right, contrast in focus between the eyes and the rest of the face.
Lovely cat and photo though. Really, be proud. Also, I feel the signature looks elegant and doesn't attract attention away from the cat in anyway, just completes the professional vibe of the shot. Great.
