"We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude." -Cynthia Ozick
A Soldier from the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment "The Old Guard" carries a wreath presented by members of the Air Force Sergeants Association to be placed by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Today is the day to pay your respect to those who have made some of the hardest sacrifices. There are not enough words to describe how lonely, heartbreaking and absolutely amazing it can be when you're thousands of miles away from all that you've known and loved.
To my brothers and sisters past, present, and future (and to my boys from 5-20th FINALLY working their way back home after a year in the suck) thank you.
