"Blackhawk" is a beautiful photo, and for many reasons. While there are many photos of helicopters (especially the black hawk,) not many of them focus on the environment or rather the uses originally intended for the vehicle. I believe that this work is different than others for those sole reasons. The environment surrounding the vehicle is, actually, an environment that matches it and actually one of the environments that this helicopter (namely, the Sikorsky UH-60L "Black Hawk",) was intended for. Not only does the photo bring that fact into contrast, but it also highlights some of cherished features of the particular model of helicopter. And beyond that, it extends the view of the environment itself, creating a feeling of solitude and, in my opinion, bravery and courage. You can see the empty terrain extending for what seems like miles beyond the point of interest (the helicopter,) as well as debris, which seems to indicate that the environment has possibly because deserted recently. Overall the atmosphere and focus of this photo are, in my opinion, amazing. And it really is something that I feel deserves recognition for these facts.
